Stuck in my course. Help Required

Dear Team,

I am student of Data Science Specialization - EICT, IITR from Cloudxlab.com.

Issue 1:

I am currently stuck at Topic 13 - Hive Project .

In this topic, I installed tableau on my machine and also installed Hortonworks ODBC Driver for Apache Hive as per instructions.

But while connecting from Tableau to Cloudxlab server, I am getting attached error.

Issue 2:

Since morning today, My Hive query editor in Hue is getting timed out error. I am not able to view databases, run any queries.

Please check attached screenshot.

Request you to guide on both these issues on urgent basis.

Hi, Sujeet.

1. Kindly try to connect again. You can also refer to this discussions :- Hortonworks Hadoop Hive connection on tableau showing install driver and connect

2. Kindly use Hive Terminal from web-console for all your Hive Task and you will be surely able to do it.
   Depending on third party software will always cause dependence, the universal workaround for any situation is Terminal (The best never fails).

Still getting error kindly send the screenshots. I will look into it.

2. Yes, I used Terminal to complete few tasks. But as a newbie I am not well versed with commands here. And using Hue was much easier. I believe the error should get resolved though there is option of Terminal.
