[solved] Unexpected error while saving file: Untitled.ipynb database is locked

Sometimes I get this error.

Actually, this happens when the jupyter metadata file ~/.local/share/jupyter/nbsignatures.db gets locked.

You can stop the the Jupyter server from Control Panel and then do

rm -rf ~/.local/share/jupyter/nbsignatures.db

Now, start the Jupyter server. It should work. In case, it is not working, try deleting the complete folder “.local/share/jupyter”.

Hi Sandeepgiri,
I keep getting this error on my Jupyter notebook, which say:
“An unknown error occurred while loading a notebook. This version can load notebook formats or earlier. See the server log for details”
I need help!
