You can use Hue for seeing data and to navigate through the path of the files.
For making tables and running HIve queries, I request you to use Hive terminal which you can open by using Web-console just type hive.
Similarly type spark in the web-console, you will get the spark terminal.
You will be able to do all your Hive task from hive terminal.
