Jupyter notebook kernel is dying very often

Hello,

I am unable to jupyter notebook for more than 30 minutes in total. It says “connection to kernel failed”. I thought I had issues with my internet connection and I tried with two different internet connections and I am still facing the same issue. The same code was running fine last month but now not more than 30 minutes.

Hi @Sanjeev_Ram,

We have recently introduced the fair usage policy in which if you are processes are running for more than 30 minutes then our bots kill them. This is to make sure that no single user is consuming all the system resources.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi @abhinav,

it is not so fair… My Lab is going down even if I not run any process at the time.
It drives me nuts. Everytime I have to start again the lab and run all the cells again.
Can you count the real time of running the calculation not the time I have my jupyter opens?

totally agree. This create lot of reprocessing of cells.
