Hi,

In order to learn Hadoop, you need an installation of Hadoop.

The main objective of Apache Hadoop or any Big Data System is to do processing and storage using multiple machines i.e. Distributed Computing.

So, even though you can install Apache Hadoop on your laptop/desktop machine using the virtual machine but it is best experienced or used when installed on multiple machines. The best way to get multiple machines is to get from a Cloud vendor such AWS, GCP, Azure or Digital Ocean. So, you will need to get familiar with the UI and tools of the Vendor. It could be fairly costly.
