Getting Log4j Error while running flume-ng command

I am getting the following error while running flume-ng command

ERROR StatusLogger No log4j2 configuration file found. Using default configuration: logging only errors to the console. Set system property ‘log4j2.debug’ to show
Log4j2 internal initialization logging.

I tried manually creating the log4j.xml configuration file at /usr/hdp/current/flume-server but i do not have the permission and cannot change the permission thru CHMOD . Please help
